Prism / GPS / Laptop Combos

I'm interested in getting a GPS that would work both with my Visor Prism and with my laptop (running Windows 2000 or Windows ME). Would the Garmin eTrex series be a good choice here?

The etrex series (at least the legend) comes with a PC connect cable, and in the marketplace, a guy is selling Visor - Garmin cables. There are some other sources as well, do a search...

I have a Prism and notebook with Win2K. I use the Delorme Earthmate with both. Delorme has a cable to connect the Earthmate to the Prism. Works great.
