Hot Sync Kernel Error
I promise that I've scanned through all the topics on this board and I don't think my specific problem has been addressed, so here goes...
I just got a replacement Platinum from Handspring after my last one died inexplicably. The first hot sync worked fine (I had restored from backup module first and then synced...somehow none of the changes to my Palm Desktop between the last backup and the restoration seemed to make it into my new Platinum -- a first, but no big deal).
But now, I can't do a complete sync. About 3/4's of the way through my USB sync, I'm getting "HOTSYNC HAS CAUSED AN ERROR IN KERNEL32.DLL"
I've never had that problem before. I tried syncing with and without AvantGo and it still gave me the same problem.
Which leads me to believe that it's my computer (Sony VAIO notebook with Windows ME). Possibly a lack of memory (although I have 256 MB). If anyone has any suggestions, thanks in advance. I know I should call Handspring, but I think this board is a more effective way to get an answer
Thanks!
ADDENDUM: I just tried syncing again and took out the WordSmith conduit, and it worked just fine. It seems to have something to do with WordSmith 2.0. I'll contact Blue Nomad directly, but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime, go ahead!
