pdb files are Palm database files. What makes it confusing is this could mean anything really ;D
.pdb files can be doc files. They can be database files and not only that they can be for a specific type/version of database. So basically you have to know what program is required to view them. Most files from Palmgear.com will tell you under Minimum Requirements
Even so, this actually can drive you nuts sometimes. A few times I have installed files to view (.pdb files) and I have stumbled across some that wont show up no matter what program I try. I.E. I downloaded several files that showed up under the INFO so were on the Visor, however, none of these programs listed below could view them:
Doc readers: cspotrun(freeware), AporticDoc(demo), Tealdoc(demo) Isilo(just in case), and a program called Qvadis Express GT(demo and it clames it is for E-Books). As expected they all seem to see the same files. I then tried to see them in tealinfo(demo), Jfile Pro (I registered), MobileDB Lt(demo) and ThinkDB and still I have never seen these files. I basically just give up and delete them if they dont show up now.
Some types of files must require a special program even though they may say Ebook etc For the most part though you should see them with a doc reader or a Database application (listed above)Can't hurt to have a few different programs on the Visor to try.
To answer your main question, try a few of the other programs if you are not sure. STart with ISolo for instance as it will display normal docs as well as some formatted for itself.
