There seems to be some price discrepancy on the serial cradle.

Users reports buying it for $29.95, others get it for $19.95 when bundled with a Visor, and one user has reported it for $9.95 when bundled with the Visor deluxe.

When I called this morning, the sales rep said there was just one price - $19.95.

I called an hour ago to verify the price - now the sales rep said it was $29.95. She even asked around.

So the question is, how much did you pay for the serial cradle?

I ordered my Visor Deluxe yesterday and got the serial cradle for $19.95.

I was told it *should* be *about* $19.00, but the sales rep I talked to didn't seem real confident about it. Am I the only one who isn't exactly impressed with the people they have selling their product; either because they know nothing about what they are selling or because they weren't properly "briefed" on how to even take an order? (or maybe I just got somebody making her first order)

Yeah, I have the same bad feeling about the person who took my order at HandSpring. I would not be at all surprised if my order is messed up --- he had a real problem understanding English. The only thing that I'm sure that he'll have correct is my credit card number!

Come to think of it, they didn't even give me a confirmation number or anything. I told them I needed the serial cradle and confirmed three times that they would simply ship me the serial cradle instead of USB (at no change in the price). I ordered the Deluxe if it matters.

I think I'll call them again to confirm my order. If they can't repeat back to me what I ordered then I'll know there's trouble. The girl who took my order couldn't even give me a grand total for the unit, shipping, and tax. Is this a little discomforting to you too?

Similar problem here... I wasn't too confident that the guy who took my initial order got everything right. Then I called back to add a second cradle and an 8MB expansion and I got the same guy. This time he read everything back to me and it was correct. But I'm gonna be really peeved if come October the UPS man brings me a crade and an 8MB Springboard with no Visor Deluxe...

Well, I had a good experience. The lady I spoke to was very professional. I ordered the Visor Delux and a serial cradle (in addition to the USB cradle). The difference in price was $10. (Might have been $9.95... I don't remember right now.)

I just called HandSpring to add the serial cradle to my Visor Deluxe order. I was told (1) It would cost $20 and that the $10 figure is incorrect (2) If it's purchased without the Visor Deluxe, it will cost $30 (3) Order confirmations will be available on the HandSpring site in a couple of days.

I called them up as well today and spoke with a superVisor.

As Kalahari wrote, the serial cradle is $19.95 when purchased with either a Visor Deluxe or Visor, and $29.95 if just purchased alone. He said they would stick to these prices....

When I called back to order a serial cable to go along with my Visor Delux I was told by a woman sales rep that the additional cost was $10.
