Question Is it ready for primetime? -not sure

Beiks.com makes a medical dictionary for the PalmOS. Having said that, I will mention that their prior version was removed from the market because it was an abysmal failure. Most people rated it about a 0.5 on a scale of 1-5 and mentioned things like it did not contain even basic medical terms like "anemia." I would not be so generous. It was really really bad.

The company claims it found a better source of medical information and now their product is ready for primetime. I cannot say since I haven't tried it. Go here and if it is worth downloading let me know:

Regards.

Arrow Medical dictionary

Hi Bandit,

Well, from personal experience I really didn't need a medical dictionary in my Visor. Basically, most of the diseases, medical terms, drugs, etc.. can be found in other medical references like the 5MMC, lexidrugs, and the merck manual. If you really want a medical dictionary, Franklin.com offers electronic medical dictionaries, but I don't think they have Palm compatible ones.

Hope this help.

Thanks

Thanks for the help, I will check these out. I have tried the 5MCC, and Harrison's Guide to Internal Medicine. I just ordered the 16MB card for my palm so I can store the Merck Manual. Some terms, I have not found in these reference's I already have. I wish Taber's cyclopedic medical dictionary was on Palm, that would rock. Thanks.
