iMac and Audrey online

I recently bought an Audrey (very happy with it) and I have always used my iMac with a dial-up connection to my ISP. Does anyone know how to have both on-line at once on the same line? Any advise and help is appreciated

Can you say network? There's a USB Ethernet adapter available for the Audrey. Networking the 2 devices together in order to share an internet connection should be possible (disclaimer: I don't know anything about the iMac so I may be totally off base).

Once you get the USB ethernet adapter, you'll need some way to route the packets. First, in order to connect it to the iMac you'll either need a direct connect network cable (had the correct wires crossed so you can hook the adapters up directly) or a hub. You'll then need some way to route the packets from the Audrey to you ISP through the iMac. There may be software packages available for OS9, but I'm not familiar with any of them. OSX may allow you to do this natively, since it's a Unix core, but again I'm not familiar with it (yet).

There are hubs that have a 56k modem built in that will route the packets from the ethernet to the modem, but the last I knew these things ran about $350.
