I have used the renewals too and haven't had a problems at all. They don't have the life of a new alkaline, but they definitely last a week or two without any problems.

I've tried the Renewal Batt's, and I don't care for them. They don't seem to hold their charge well, and don't last very long when in use. I bought dozens of them, and finally threw them all out.
NiMH seem far superior, whoever makes them.
IMHO.

Shoot, I wish I worked for em (thomas-distributing), then I could get my batteries from em cheaper. Hey, maybe you all could write them and tell them to send me some for free for getting others to go to their site :-)

Hehe...they really should give you a discount. I just bought $50 of merchandise based on what I read here, and I'm very happy with them so far. ;]

I bought the NiMH batteries made by Nexcell from www.nihmbattery.com website as recommanded by other posts on this board. These are great batteries. I never have to buy alkaline batteries again.

I've used the Renewals in my Palm III for over a year and am not really happy with them. As already mentioned, the life is not exactly the best. Just ordered a charger and NiMH's from the site previously mentioned.
