I do have a PDApack for the rare occasion when I need to take the Visor out of my pocket and put it in my backpack. It stays in the backpack and get use about twice a month on average.

P.S. I must be the only one, based on all my acquaintances who have Visors, but it seems to me the the leather, soft cover is designed to be used WITHOUT the hard cover. With the hard cover the fit of the slip case is terrible (and terribly inconvenient), and without the fit is perfect. Anyone with me on this?

I use the leather slip case without the hard cover. Although the case works fine with the cover on (and thus provides more protection), for me it it more convenient to use it without the cover. I put the case in my upleft shirt pocket. I can easily access my Visor without taking the case out -- as if the case is a part of the pocket.

I put my wallet and a pen in the inner upleft pocket of my coat. It's a kind of bulky to have many stuff in the similar place. So I am interested in getting a case which is easy to use, can hold the Visor safely and can replace my wallet (I don't put much stuff in the wallet, though.

I use the stock handspring case most of the time. I initially used both the hard cover and the leather slip case, but lately have only used the leather slip case. The Visor seems to fit better without the cover and is more convenient to to get at (reference to previous post). I usually have my visor in my brief case or on my work space so I am not that concerned about major protection during my normal day.

I did just order and receive the PDAPak (Otter Box). When I travel oversees or with my children, I wantd something which allows complete protection from fluids and weight when placed in a carry on or fanny pack. I have not decided if I'll use the hard cover, leather slip case, or both the the PDAPak.

I just recently stopped using the hard cover and leather case that came with my Visor.

I was looking for a wallet-like case that could hold my money, check & credit cards, and my Visor that was still small enough to carry in my purse (and I use a SMALL purse). I went with a "wild ones" case by Incipio, ordered from Inferno Industries. It's got a leopard-skin cover. Exactly what I was looking for....something with the features I wanted, but more unique looking.

We have two VDXs (one Ice/one Graphite)

Mine (Graphite):
A. Handspring Bi-fold leather.
B. Hard cover velcro'd to inside front of Dayrunner Classic Edition (5x8 size).

4. Wife's: Gives her a place to put business cards, etc.
Mine: A. Use as a wallet now, like the pen, stylus (got the 5 pack - black in the holder, blue in the visor) holder. Its one less thing to leave lying around (Visor or the wallet).
B. I created this while I was waiting for the case to arrive. I had wanted to keep the Visor near/with items that could not readily be coverted into the Visor. The other available options for purchase required velcroing the Visor to the case, which was not an option. I still use this version from time to time.

4. I chose this case because of my hobbie. I do alot ofn theater work, and already I gotten my Visor hit by some major tools (hammers, screwdrivers, handsaws)
So far I have not had any trouble with the Visor falling out and I love the case

4. Its made out of really hard plastic and is water tight, its perfect for carrying around in my backpack at school. It has enough room for the Visor, a couple of styli, and a set of AAA batteries. I use the slip cover when I'm at the store or anwyhere else I need it to go in my pocket.

4. I disliked the slip case, because it was ackward to retrieve the VD quickly, had no room for business cards/note paper, and was easy to lose when removed. I am very happy with my Value case: room for cards, can easily hang my Stylus+ from it, don't have to worry about remembering the case when the VD is open, decent protect.

Yes...but I've ordered another case for it. See below.

2. If yes...the Visor Deluxe comes with both a soft and hard case. Which one do you use?

I use the hard cover and put the whole thing in the leather case. (BTW, it was a tight fit at first but now the leather has expanded to fit. An important thing to keep in mind about ANY leather case is that it should start out a bit tight for proper fit later.

3. If No...What case have you upgraded to?

I ordered the "Color Coordinated" leather case from Handspring. Though I have an Ice VDX, I ordered the Green 'cause I like green and I think it'll go well with the Ice color.

4. Why did you make the selection you did? What features does the new case have that your old didn't?

I don't have a problem with the fit or protection of the stock leather case, but I found it a pain in the *&^! to use. I can't just whip out my Visor to make a quick note or look up a phone number - I have to fumble with the case and find somewhere to put it while I take off the hard plastic cover, and I don't have enough hands to do that AND hold my cell phone, or whatever else I'm doing. The case clutters up my desk at work, and I keep wanting to put something extra in it (like a business card or two) and the something extra keeps falling out the next time I use the Visor.

An extreme example: I broke my ankle back in November and had to go to the emergency room. While in the waiting room, sitting in a wheelchair, I had to wheel up to a pay phone (no cell phone yet back then), fumble with my backpack, fumble with coin purse, AND the visor and its case so I could look up the numbers I needed to call to find my husband to come get me. Argh. I'm looking forward to having a case I can just flip open when I'm out and about...

4. The two main reasons I got this were 1) it has slots for cards/license and the like, and also a notepad and pen, and 2) it looks very professional, and when I take it into meetings, everyone has to stare ("Is that a PalmPilot?" "Well, no, but......"). My main concerns, obviously, were looks and functionality. The only thing that would make it better is a slot for cash.

1 - I've kept the stock case for use in the Rhinoskin 1100. I actually read where some people threw out the plastic cover! The soft case was a worthless redundancy. It offered little in the way of protection. Palm made a better product. I use the Rhinoskin case when I'm trying to travel light.

2 - Its second home is in a modified Franklin Covey PalmIII carrier for the standard sized Franklin Planner. I had to do a little arts and crafts to make it work, but I'm happy with the results. It used to house my PalmPro but now holds the new tenant with no problem.

Just got my case from Fossil. Never used either the cover or the "pouch" that came with the visor. Instead I've been using my old Franklin Day-Planner pocket case into which I've glued a piece of velcro. It worked really well until I saw the Fossil case. Fine, soft leather. Smooth zippier, space for credit cards and business cards and loops for both a pen and a stylus. I'm very happy with it. PLUS - free shipping and an antique replica tin calendar and desk calendar came with it for free. Kinda ironic. Great case though.

1 Well, Yes.
2 I ALWAYS use the hard cover and sometimes the leather case too
3 I use an OtterBox 2K (always with the hardcover, and sometimes with the leather if I want a lot of protection for my bookbag) I also have a piece of foam on the top of the case to prevent it from sliding.
4 I chose the OB2K because it was $13 and I needed protection for my Visor in a backpack (i.e. gets thrown around alot) enviroment. The Otterbox was perfect. Second, it was cheaper. It's waterproof to 100 (some say 120 feet). And most of all, you can run it over with a truck--I've known quite a few of my friends to have run over stuff in their cars. My friends "black rubber scared" white Eastpack bookpack will attest to it. "THUMP"--what was that? I hope to get a Rhodina Visor Case this summer. I hope that I can fit my Rhodina in my OB2K.

A.)The Rhodiana was HIGHLY recomended by folks here at VC.

B.)Belt Clip, more protection, more convienence, does not rely on a pocket or being constantly held.

4. I liked the way it looked. It contains a note pad, a slot for an extra stylus, a pen holder, and slots 6 ID/credit cards. It also has two openings (one behind the Visor, the other behind the ID/credit cards) for misc (cash, stamps, small notes, etc.)

It replaces my wallet. I don't mind it being bulky because I carry a purse. (I'm female, and we tend to do that.) Fitting the Visor in my pocket is not an issue.

(I'm waiting for Handspring to bring back the CUSTOM cases.)

I bought a CDProjects case for my PDA. I pay $15 for it. It has a belt clip and the Visor fits really good in it. I really like it..

4. It was inexspensive, seemed like it provided good protection, and had plenty of space for other things. I used to not always use the case but since getting a stowaway which fits nice and snug . VisorCentral also gave it a good review.
