Not that I know of
Handcam keeps their images in a single database file. XLINK files at the end of the directory are their - one keeps notes and file names, another movie files, another the photos. Since you don't have single files any such application would have to transfer an image out of the database - which probably would require details upon how Handcam is building that file.
I get around the whole thing with my Memplug. When I fill up memory on the Visor with Handcam images and want to take more long before I hotsync I do the following. I set up a directory on my card with a name like Roll 1 or something. I copy ALL of the Xlink files to that directory. That gives you an image of everything the Handcam has in Ram. Then I go back into the Handcam and delete some or all of the files I took, and take more.
When I hotsync, I have to hotsync what's in the Handcam currently. Then I move the Xlink copies BACK over the current Handcam Xlink files, overwriting them. This restores the Handcam back to an earlier state and contents. A second Hotsync gets the earlier taken pictures into the PC... (or a third, etc. - depending upon how many Virtual Rolls you take...)
I use the PiMover that came with the Memplug, but if you have any file management software AND an expansion memory card you could probably duplicate the trick... I've been successful with this. It is VERY helpful if you have to take a movie and want to free up memory again. The only caveat would be that EACH set of Xlink files would have to be in a different folder on the card...
Probably not EXACTLY what you wanted to hear, but I hope it helps...
