Red face

Yesterday I installed the full version of DateMate and the full version of Backup Buddy... Today I'm having LOTS of problems with my Hot Sync (Win NT, Serial). Has anyone else had similar problems with the same software...? Both things claim to be Visor compatible and the Hot Sync doesn't seem to hang on any particular step.

Any ideas anyone..??

What type of problems are you experiencing?

I sync WinNT serial, recently upgraded to the latest versions of both programs but have not experienced any problems.

Thumbs down

I think it may be coincidence about the software... I think the problem might be general connection to the cradle...
The symptoms are that it hangs up at random places and sometimes the Visor will cancel and the PC won't - I have to go to Task Manager and kill the 'not responding' Hot Sync app...
BUT... I tried it with something resting on top of the Visor and it seemed OK. I'll look at the boards, but has anyone else had the springy connector in the cradle fail yet...? Mine still seems springy enough, but maybe it's not making a reliable connection.

You might be on to something with the squishy connection. My supervisor had a Palm III that did not fit securely in the cradle - his solution was to put a couple of rubberbands around the palm and cradle to keep it connected.

The problem ended up being the palm unit not the cradle - he received a replacement because of another problem and no longer needed to use the rubberbands to complete the hotsync.
