Here's a new 'letter of apology' that now springs up in a new browser window when you visit the HandyGPS web site:


Dear Customers,

Over the past few weeks, there were an overwhelming number of e-mail inquiries about HandyGPS. What is the ship date? What to do to order or reserve one? Does it really come with street level maps? ��

We tried our best to answer to each of the individual inquiries, but the number of replies we could process did not even catch up with the number of e-mails piling up on our e-mail system.

Eventually, we had to make a decision to post a general announcement on our web page, while we will continue to answer all the individual inquiries. Since most of the e-mail inquiries also encourage us with sparkling ideas, comments and willingness to support us, we feel it our due obligation to let our prospective customers know how we are progressing.

1.Shipment:

We have already made a shipment for US beta test last week. Our second shipment for consumers will be on June 10th. When PC EXPO is held between 27th and 29th June in New York, HandyGPS will be put on your hands.

2.Order:

We will send you an order form by e-mail if you have already indicated interest in purchasing HandyGPS™ before. However, we strongly recommend to keep checking www.navicom.co.kr for updates. If you did not previously register with us, we will post a new order form during or before the last week of May on www.navicom.co.kr. Please keep checking back!

3.Map:

As promised, each HandyGPS will come with a subscription for full feature street level maps downloadable from our website. Our maps will be much more exciting than you may have thought because they will be rich in features, work better (because maps will be 100% compatible with HandyGPS operating software), more accurate (with basic data upgraded every 3 months), more convenient (because both hardware and software come together from us. No more fine-tuning needed, a sure-shot!) and more confidence about future upgrade compatibility. You will be able to download the most up-to-date maps from our website each time you log on. A better choice than bundled maps on CD-ROM. Want some special deals on the map subscription available with purchase of HandyGPS? Please keep checking back www.navicom.co.kr.

4.Our US address:

Don��t worry, you shouldn't have to keep checking with our rather odd and hard to remember web address. You will soon be able to enjoy a convenient service from our US establishment and visit its website, too. How soon? Coming the end of May.
