Question How to use a Calling Card?

I was wondering how to use a WalMart-AT&T Calling Card with a modem. To normally use the card for a voice call, you dial a 1-800 number, enter "1" twice, then dial the card number, then the number you want to dial. How would I do this in the Phone Number prefs? I assume entering the 1-800 number in the phone number, then listing all the rest of the info in the calling card box, or would it work otherwise? I expect a response as soon as possible. Thanks.

I've never had to use it, so I don't remember exactly, but I remember reading somewhere that there are "codes" (additions to the dialing string, really) that will insert a certain number of seconds space while dialing. This means it will dial the 1-800 number, wait a certain number of seconds until the machine asks for your code or whatever, dial the code, wait again until the machine asks for the number to be dialed, and then it will finally dial the number.

You could search for it here and you'll probably find something like what I'm saying.

Thumbs up I've gotten it to work

Thanks, but my card is short enough that I've gotten it to work through "Dial Prefix". Thanks to both.
