Yep, I've tried both. Gotten rid of both of them, because once the novelty wears off, the simple fact is my cheapo standalone $129. HP is more reliable.
Under ideal conditions, the HandCam could perhaps take better images, but it is more susceptible to imperfect lighting conditions and a less than steady hand.
Additionally, the HandCam software is primitive. Many people have trouble getting the conduit to work, and there is no provision for installing the conduit without the webcam software. Particularly annoying is that camera adjustments are done through the webcam software, not on the visor app, even though they apparently control its functionality in both.
