Question

I am trying to get my Visor to synch tasks I add on it to Outlook 2000, but I can't figure out how to do it. I have looked through the help file of the conduit, and it shows them synching tasks on there, but I can't figure out how to add it now. Any ideas? Thanks.

Install the Pocket Mirror software "hidden" on the install disk. The standard PalmDesktop software install you get when you insert the CD does not install Pocket Mirror for you.

I have PocketMirror installed, and I have tried using it, but I can't figure out how to add tasks as what I want to synch. Unless I have to add it off the disk in addition to regular PocketMirror?

Tasks added in the Tasks area of Outlook show up in the To Do List area of the Visor. They also show up on the DateBook or Datebook+ area. Works very well for me. Did you install PocketMirror on your desktop and configure it?

Yes, I've got that installed, and I have no problem getting them to go onto my computer, but everything I enter on the visor won't go onto the computer. I have been having the opposite problem with my address book, contacts added in Outlook won't update onto the visor. Should I try reinstalling the hotsync, pocketmirror, and palmdesktop software?

What do you mean by "add to regular pocket mirror?" That makes no sense. PocketMirror is a conduit. You can't "add" anything to it. I'm guessing you're trying to add your tasks to PalmDesktop. If so that's not going to work. You need to add tasks into Outlook on the desktop and to To-Do or Datebook on the Visor. Then synch. It'll work.

I've added items to my visor in the todo section, and when I sync to my computer it doesn't update Outlook. If I go to the conduit setup and go to my profile to the Change Synchronization section, ToDo is not listed anywhere on there, although in the help file and online I have seen it listed. That is what I am trying to do, my to do will not update Outlook, and contacts made on my PC will not update my visor.

In your 'Change Synchronization Preferences', you should see an entry for 'Outlook Tasks Synchronize Synchronize'. If you don't see this, I think you should re-install.
