I put a headphone jack on my VDX! its a tight sqeeze-- the deluxe has much less space insidefor that sort of thing, not being as thick and all. But i I ran wires up to the springboard slot and put the headphone jack in the SB protector. Unfortunately, I cant put a picture up rigth now because my digicam wont connect to my comp, and the eyemodule is obviously out of the question(think about it)
It was easy. the sound is excellent. I hoked up tealmovie, and converted some of my mp3s to waves and then to PDBs. One song is about 1.3 megs or so. the quality is terrible, but still abotu 20 times better than the original piezo.
Pics will come eventually. Sonce there is no space for a proper headphone cpnnector inside the vdx, I wil either install a mini-connector, or make the springboard protector into a 'soundboard'
The speaker inside the VDX is different than the prism. its mounted on the cuircuit board and is big, black and square with two big contacts on the side. I just solderd wies to each side, and put them to the first two contacts on the tip of the headset jack.
