I sync my Visor with Outlook 2000 and it uses MS Exchange as its mail server, my problem is my Visor shows email names as the resolved names in Exchange, how can I get it to show email addresses?

Damn!...I hadn't noticed mine was doing it as well...at least my company uses the [email protected] naming convention so it's not a big deal....but I'll see what I can do for you.

Talked with my NT/exchange admin and he said that there is no way to do it from what he understood without making a completely new personal address book and setting it up differently than the contacts folder and syncing with that. Sorry

Question

Are you referring to the addresses shown in a mail message in your PalmOS Mail app or in the PalmOS Address Book? It wasn't entirely clear to me in your original message.

I'll take a leap of faith that you're referring to the PalmOS Address Book since you mentioned O2K. If that's the scenario, and you are using PocketMirror to sync between your PalmOS Address Book and Outlook 2000's Contacts, see this link here for information that might assist you in displaying the full E-Mail address instead of the O2K display name.

If, for some reason, you cannot access the link above, go to http://www.chapura.com, head to the Support section and search on "000720-0023" or "I want to see the e-mail address on the handheld instead of the display name"

I also use O2K and Exchange to sync at work. When I set the mail to sync with Outlook, the e-mail addresses showed up as last name, first name. I could not reply to the e-mails because Exchange would not recognize that as an e-mail address. When I set it to sync with Exchange, it works perfectly, except that the address Exchange uses is about 50 characters long and full of redirecting commands and such. It WILL still recognize standard internet e-mail addresses though (i.e. [email protected]).
