I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Franklin Planner Binder Kit? I am looking for a case that will hold paper as well as a Visor, and this looked like it would fit the bill nicely (although it is a bit pricey). Any thought? Other recommendations for this type of a case would be appreciated.

I'm using a Franklin Covey cover but it was made for the spiral bound pocket sized paper binders. I find this more convenient since I can fit it in my pocket. I attach my VDx with adhesive velcro. For paper I cut a few pages of copy paper, fold it in half, and staple, then insert it in the side pockets where the paper day planner would have gone. I like this set up fine, plus, my stylus/pen combo rides quite nicely. The price will be about $100 less than that admitedly beautiful Franklin palm binder.

I have also seen Day Runner cases that hold Palm units, presumably, it would hold the Visor as well. I never seriously considered one, because I bought the Visor to get away from my Day Runner, but it might be worth checking into and will probably be much cheaper than the Franklin Covey case. I saw them at my local Office Max, so probably any place that stocks Day Runners will have them. Just a suggestion!

Day-Timer has a series of cases designed to hold Palm devices. Does anyone have one of those? Would the Visor fit without much problem? I use a "pocket" size ring-binder to hold my calendar, checkbook, and misc. I'd like to continue with a ringed binder for the Visor and paper accessories

My wife bought me a Franklin planner (the smaller one) for my birthday. She didn't know the difference between the Palm III and V, so she "assumed" that the Visor was smaller (like the V). Anyway, I'll let you know as soon as we send the current one back, and get the one for the Palm III. (BTW, it looks really nice!)

Thanks for the reply's so far. I looked at the Day Timer models at Staples and Office Max over the weekend and wasnt' overly impressed. They attach the Visor with velcro way high at one corner and it looks like it is too close the the corner zipper so that it may pose a probelm when closing. Also the one I opened had the velcro folded on one part so that it would make it difficlut to attach to the Visor. Any other comments are still welcome.

I'd love to hear if the snap-in holder for the 7-ring binder from Franklin-Covey works for the Visor. I'll have a smaller case for off-hours, but I've actually got paperwork I need to have with me during the day that I can't get into the Visor... I also have a $200 Franklin binder that I really ought to get SOME use out of... hehehe

Isle of View or MeghannMac:
Your Visor will fit nearly perfectly into your Franklin binder if you are replacing the V unit for the III. I have an old black case that is the Franklin 6 ring - it's the Original Pocket size. It's black and has the zippered closure and 3 credit card slots plus one additional business card slot on the right panel. It has a little wear and tear on it and I removed (cleanly) the initial nameplate.
If you want it and want to save a buck, send me an email with shipping instructions. I'll forward it to you and you can send me what you think it's worth.
I also have the same thing that fits the Palm V....but I'll counsel you to figure out how to really get rid of the paper planner combo unit by checking out the various software programs available for the Visor.
