I have installed the IRLink 2.5 into my Visor.
Everytime I perform a LocalSync, I can see the InfraRed Icon change, but it fails. Visor error message saying "The connection between your handheld and the desktop could not be estabalished. Please check your setup and try again".
There is nothing I can change. My visor can receives and beams files thru the IR by using QuickBeam, it just can't do any local sync.
Please help. Coz' I don't want to get a extra cradle.

I had the same problem until I slowed down the IR speed. Go into HotSync Manager and change the Local speed from as fast as possible to 56K. Then go to the Infrared Control Panel, click on the Options tab, check the Limit Speed To box and set it for 56K. Mine worked flawlessly once I changed those two settings. It's possible you might have to set the speeds even lower if you still have trouble.
