System synchronization failed?????

I have been seeing a system synchronization failed error message in my HotSync log from day one(Platinum). Everything seems to work fine and I have had no problems. Does anyone know what this error message means?

Also, a buddy of mine just got a Edge and is Sync'n with a MS 2000 machine. It takes forever to HotSync and when it's done, the Edge asks to be reset every time. Stats: using USB, Docs to Go, AvantGo. Thats it. Any thoughts?

I get a system synchronization failed error whenever I hotsynch a springboard module in place -- more specifically the memory module. If I take the module out first every thing is just fine.
Doesn't seem to bother anything.

I have a Thin Modem Plus Plugged in??

I may just try taking the Modem out and then Sync'n.

Well what do you know. It worked.

That is the first time I've had a System Sync OK in a long time. It must be something about the HotSync trying to read the card. Thanks again.

I installed the newer Palm Desktop a while back, and since then I had System Sync problems with my Visor Deluxe, so I disabled the System hotsync conduit for it. Then, just last week, I had problems with my m125 losing the HotSync connection after an aborted ePocrates 6 install. I deleted the ePocrates files from my PC and the m125, and still no luck. After some cursing, I cleaned my HotSync contacts and crossed my fingers, and everything worked. For the heck of it, I re-enabled the System conduit for the Visor and tried HotSyncing it. The System sync worked!

I find it hard to believe that dirty contacts had anything to do with it, though, since everything else would sync properly before the ePocrates snafu.

Visors are possessed, maybe...
