Hi matty,
Yes I actually do have both the Vaja and Rhinopack 3000, the combination works surprisingly OK, with the only problem being the stud getting occasionally hung up on the numerous elastic straps that line the RP 3000. Flipping the Vaja over so the stud faces away from the straps solves that problem tho. If the Vaja belt-clip stud were smaller it could get caught in the 3000's inner mesh pocket, but the stud is bigger than the holes in the mesh that make up the inner pocket, so I don't see that as being a real problem. Overall, the RP 3000/Vaja combo works well, the Vaja protects the Visor and the RP 3000 allows you to carry a surprising amount of stuff (like my Stowaway). The occasional snagging of the stud in the 3000's elastic straps is the only negative thing about this combo as far as I can see (and it actually doesn't snag on me all that often, so I personally find the combination satisfactory). If anyone has any further experience with this combo, please feel free to post your experiences . Hope I answered your question!
By the way, the hot-synchable case sounds great, I think your waiting for that case is a good idea. I know when you get your Vaja that you'll be as impressed with the quality as I am, my Vaja case is the best one I've seen so far .
PS-The way you use the elastic straps will determine how frequently the Vaja stud will get caught on the 3000's straps, using the straps to wrap all around the Vaja will cause the snagging problem to occur almost all the time, while just laying the Vaja on top of the straps will cause it almost never snag. I compromise and just use one strap to hold one corner of my Vaja, that way the straps don't snag and my Visor still won't fall out of the bag when opened. Just FYI. And now my post is big now, see why a long winded guy like myself wants a review edit capability .
