When I put my Prism in the cradle, the charging light stays lit (not charging) and the battery indicator shows a full charge. When I take my Prism out of the cradle, the battery indicator returns to half charged.

Is this a problem or correct operation?

Thanks,
Ken

According to:

It doesn't sound normal.

I had the same problem. It disappeared after a soft reset.

When you first got your Prism did you let it charge for the what was it, full 2 hours, without interruption? I am just curious.

I was very carefull to do that but even now I do very little with it and the battery drops 15-20% in a very short time. I have my brightness set to less than 25%. I don't get it. I charge it to 100% and barly use it and it drops like that. Anyone else have this problem? I have beam receive off and the stowaway keyboard driver off, what else could it be?

I keep topping it off when I have it at work and even at home. I have to keep it charged. I have yet to let it get below 50%.

I had a lot of problems with my Visor Deluxe as well. I only got around 2 or so hours of runtime (actual use) out of even the expensive batteries.

Why do I have such bad battery luck with these things?

I love my Visors but this is making me a little annoyed.

<sigh>

I see the same thing on my Prism...from 100% to under 90% very quickly (five minures). From there it seems to hold the charge fine. Not sure if it is actually the battery or the gauge that is off.
