IS IT POSSIBLE TO SYNCH VIA THE MODEM CONTAINED IN MY MOBILE PHONE. IT'S A 56K TYPE, PRETTY MODERN AND IT'S PI***NG ME OFF THAT I CAN'T FIND ANY INFO ON HOW TO JUST POINT MY PHONE'S IR PORT AT MY VISOR AND SYNCH, AS I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO WITH MY PSION REVO.

NO NEED TO SHOUT!

Firstly, Rossi,you'll be dissappointed if you're anticipating a 56k connection.9,600bps is the current max data speed over European GSM mobile networks.GPRS will improve the situation when it comes out, but don't hold your breath!

OK you need a couple of bits of software to get your Visor talking to your phone. Either IRLink: $20 from http://www.iscomplete.com
or BeamSync: free from http://www.tt.rim.or.jp/~tatsushi/p...e.html#beamsync

I've tried both of these successfully with my Motorola Timeport L7089, though only for email, but having established your IR modem connection, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to modem sync too. It would probably take quite a time at 9,600bps though! Both programs will allow local IR syncing as well. Others report success, though I haven't personally tried this yet.

It took me a while to get my modem settings correct (in prefs). Search these forums for details or contact your phone network.
