Question Help, When using usb sync pc reboots

I've got a user that has a visor and when putting his visor into his cradle the pc will reboot. The pc is a compaq en sff p3 866. We have tried moving the usb cable to both slots. This also happens in other p3 machines we have in that same model up through the 1.0 p3 gig machines. Anyone have any Idea whats causing the computer to reboot???

Yes, yes, me too with my Prism. Happens occasionally on both my Micron P3 machine and my homebuilt Athlon machine. W/ the micron, sometimes it would BSOD and say that there's been a hardware failure I don't know if you ever resolved your issue; I found this thread in the search. Let me know if you have any suggestions. It must be a bad cradle I think.

I had this problem too. Suspecting static, I got into the habit of touching the contacts on the Visor before putting it in the cradle. Seems to have worked. Also, this has been discussed before and I think Toby mentioned that this is a known issue with a particular motherboard. Do a search.
