Question

Does anyone know where I can find a schematic for the serial cradle? I downloaded the developers kit, but that just had mechanical information and pin assignments.

Thanks!

Check out this thread for details on how one person converted their USB cradle to a Serial cradle.
http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...TML/000090.html

There is a link to a schematic. After the person did the conversion they received their serail cradle from Handspring, and it was very similar to the conversion.

I built a serial cradle from this schematic. I put a push button switch on pin 3 of the visor that momentarily grounds the pin, this is how the visor knows to start a Hotsync. So you can have instant Syncing, like the real cradle. I also used a 78L05 regulator instead of a 7805, (be careful of the schematic because the 7805 pins are numbered wrong.)

One more note, you can buy a connector that plugs into the bottom of the visor from ATL Technology. www.atlconnect.com for about $3.
