Question

Before: I had my 8meg module practically full with 2 large books and about 5 decent size databases. The visor itself was also full with only about 300-400k left. Although I can't believe I had filled up all 8 megs on the visor.

Then there was an error when I tried to use Bdicty (application on visor, databases on module). It said that specific lexicon (database) was corrupted or assigned to another user. Led to a warmreset.

Now: File mover now shows that I have 1.9megs free on my visor???? I checked around, and I can't find any other application or data missing so far. Open Bdicty and all the databases are there except one. There is a 1k reference to that lexicon in the visor data list just like there is for all the other lexicons. But get this, the module still reads as only having 173kb left (about what it was before the crash). All the data (i.e. multiple lexicons for Bdicty) appears in the module list except for that one lexicon which was missing when running the Bdicty program. Yet, if this data was actually erased as it appears to be, how come no memory on my module was freed up?
Also, how did I just gain over a meg of memory on my visor mysteriously?

Help!

Thanks

I'll hazard a wild guess.
Perhaps the 'corrupted' database was on BOTH the Flash ROM module and in RAM and the RAM one got deleted. Is it about the right size to account for the difference?
