For the life of me every time I try to draw an L, I get a C. Any tips (or alternate strokes) on getting the L right?

One thing to try:

get the TealEcho hack. It will show what you are drawing on the screen.

Make the lower part of the "L" longer.

1. Play around with the Graffiti demo program. If it currently is not on your Visor, run the Welcome program. After the Welcome program is finished, the Graffiti program will be on you Visor.
2. Playing around with it myself, my guess would be you need to make the angle in the L sharper, less rounded.

Here's how I did it when I had the "L" problem, I just paid more attention to stroking parallel the left then bottom borders of the graffiti area. NEVER had a problem since, AND.. it's become second nature. Using the full graffiti area has REALLY improved (PERFECTED) my Graffiti skill.

Try Scotch Removable Tape

I've found that removable scotch tape provides a good writing surface. Your stylus doesn't slide all over the graffiti area and is much more stable. I removed the tape recently and my handwriting has gone downhill. I get alot of C's that are supposed to be L's also. Time to put down another strip.

Better yet I have been using Write Rites and have never really had a problem with graffiti recognition. It could also just be your writing style, I am sure that if you keep practicing you will get it down....probably even by the time you read this post

Sometimes I have to improve my graffiti recognition for certain letters by holding the stylus more perpendicular to the screen, instead of at a steep slant.

Thanks for all the tips. As a screen protector I took a three-ring binder sheet protector (C-Line Heavyweight Clear Prolypropylene) from the office supply closet eyeballed the size, cut with scissors, jammed her in there, bada bing. No air bubbles because the stuff is thick and my cutting job was slightly less than accurate.

Instant screen protector, cost = $0 Time billed while on conf. call: .3 hrs.

Now, why does this improve Grafitti recognition so much? Does it distribute the pressure of the stylus. What gives?
