What is the difference between the Visor Platinum and the Visor Neo, other than the available case colors? There is a hardware upgrade site that offers an upgrade to 32Mb for the Neo, but they say they cannot do it for the Platinum. I'd like to understand the hardware limitations for the Platinum.

You hit on one of the three main differences between the Platinum & Neo, case color. Platinum is available only in Silver (Platinum) and Black (Graphite).

The Neo has a slightly newer OS that includes the Fast Phone Look-up that allows you to use the hardware buttons to look-up numbers and contact info.

The Neo (and Pro) use a different type of memory (type of Flash memory I assume) that runs slightly slower than that in the Platinum. This may be the reason that the Platinum can only be upgraded to 16MB while the Neo can go to 32MB.
