Help! In attempting to sync my visor deluxe I keep receiving an error message that says the connection to my desktop can not be establlished. I have installed the latest version palm desktop 2.6.1 and the updated USB drivers. I have had problems completing a sync in the past thats when I got the updated versions. Now I can't sync at all.I'm running mac systme 9.0.4 (latest version). I'm lost what do I do? I have tried soft resetting. I have thrown away hot sync preferences. I have alocated more memory to hot sync and desktop without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is that the latest Handspring released Palm Desktop? I'm not sure if it is different from Palm's or not. Also you might want to try deleting all of the hotsync software (except your user files) and re-installing.
You might try invoking the developer's back door just prior
to syncing. To do this, run the Hotsync Application on the Visor, hold the "down" button, and tap in the upper right corner of the screen. I've found this consistently works for me when other solutions do not.

Thanks for all your help!!! Guess what the problem was! I also have a QuickCam plugged into my USB card. I unplugged it and hit the sync button and it finaly worked and now I have sync several times and it is still working!! : ) So I will just leave my camera disconected untell I use it.
