Hi all,

I was wondering, have any of you sync 2 Visor with 2 different username with the same Palm Desktop?

Will the Palm Desktop keep 2 different profile?
eq. address book, date book, etc.

My friend have asked me to install several app for her brand new visor dlx. I told her that I would be more than happy to. However, I'm just worried that Palm Desktop will screw things up. What I mean is that I dont want to sync my junk to her VDLX.

Any info. is greatly appreciated.

Yes you can... I do that right now on my Mac PowerBook... My GF has a Visor and so do I... we both sync from the same system...

You can also do it on a Win 9X machine. Both my wife and I have Visors. When you go to synch, a window pops up with a drop-down-list of Palm Owner Names. You select the proper name and it does the synch.

On the Palm Desktop, there is an User drop-down-list in the upper right hand corner where you can select which ToDo, Phone book,...you are looking at.

I am in that same situation, me and my GF both have visors and can sync up seperately just fine with one exception. I haven't been able to seperate our email. We both use Outlook Express, and our email gets combined. I've tried all the settings I can think of with no luck. Anyone had this same problem? I don't want to have to create different Windows sign-ons, and I know there has to be a way to do this. Thanks for any help.

Will some of you who have done this please give a few tips as to how to start. Do you just give the second Visor a different user name and then synch? Do you have to set up a second "account" on the Palm desktop? Or does that happen automatically.
I just bought a Solo and want to do this for my wife.

Well Bob...

If I can remember right when you have the palm desktop you can actually set up another account... Like using netscape... your wife uses her name and you use your own name or user name and those are the accounts you set up...

Sounds reasonable. I'll just have to try it when I get the second unit. Another device to try to synchronize. I have a Newton and a Visor, an iMac at home and an IBM laptop at work. Talk about juggling....
