What other sites do people have for cases and accessories, AND what other things have you found that work as cases or accessories?
Example: The Boy Scouts make a small padded nylon pouch for compasses that misses being a decent minimalist Visor pouch by a fraction of a inch in width. However- the design is so simple that anyone with a sewing machine should be able to turn one out in a few minutes.
Other ideas?
Sure. I got an Eagle Creek "Departure Pouch II" at a local store. (Many travel & luggage stores carry Eagle Creek stuff.) You can see the pouch on Eagle Creek's site at:

Click on the picture to see what it looks like inside. However, they only have relatively flat stuff in it. I have my Visor Deluxe, a Nokia cel phone, checkbook, several pens (including a multi-pen-stylus), a Leatherman Micra, a cloth tape measure, stamps, etc., in the pouch. It has a shoulder strap and a HUGE belt loop. It would be much more secure attached to your belt. It's not very expensive (about $15 from REI, for example) and quite durable. It doesn't add any padding, though.
If there is any interest, I can take a photo of my pouch stuffed and scan it and post it here.
Eagle Creek has a lot of other pouches, including some that are padded, that would work nicely. Some have come out since I got the Departure Pouch and I haven't seen them up close and personal yet. Here are URLs for the basic pages:

In fact, I just noticed that they have a new item they call the "Data Pod." It is padded and looks like it would be a neat idea.

They also have the "Phone Booth," which holds most cel phones. They are both $16 from REI.
I have the beautiful Vaja cases for the Visor and my phone--the visor with the Vaja case WILL fit in the depature Pouch, but it's a bit tight. I've also kept it in the original slip case, which has some padding, and just stuck it into the pouch with nothing but the hard face cover. So far, so good!
