I am starting this thread about "Hot Rodding" your visor (or palm, i don't care). In my opinion, these devices are extensions of us as individuals, much like cars, or clothing. Lets see some custom paint jobs, cases, or one-of-a-kind springboard modules.
Personalization!

I will start with a reference grabbed from another thread:
http://www.fureai.or.jp/~mori-t/

theres only a little bit of english, but there are some inspiring photos.

cheers,
tim

I spray painted the back of my Green Visor DX Silver to match the buttons. And on my new prism I use Chrome and Palmtheme(the beta color version) to customize the interface. I suppose some Hackmaster hacks could be considered customizations. Is this what you mean? What about overclocking would that be like getting a bigger engine for your car?

Cool

I do use Chrome on my Prism, and I do have a rainbow colored sticker on my FlashRAM springboard.

But those insane hardware hackers at that web site are doing crazy stuff like making the push buttons light up and other things that require nerves of steel and considerable skill with a soldering iron.

One even had the buttons light up in a back and forth sequence like the car on Knight Rider.

Another had a stylus with a lighted tip. I would like to get my hands on one of those.

The tamer hacks at that site include people taking the cases and turning them into oriental laqureware, with mother of pearl inlays.

Oh yeah, I also have a sticker on my snap-on cover that says "My other computer is a 4000 node Beowulf cluster."
I don't suppose anyone would be willing if they can to convert the article on changing the charging light to blue from Japanese to english? I think I understand most of it from the pix and numbers but I want to be sure before I do anything. Does anyone know if you can get leds that flash more that one color?

Use this translator page for any page you want to convert to English.
http://www.teletranslator.com:8080/
Just type in the URL. Then just use Japanese to English. Use Japanese even if the page is in Chinese.
Ignore and cancle the save file pop up window. It just does this.

It works, don't ask me.

It is not a perfect translation but works rather well for all these pages we stubmble across. Better than nothing at all that is for sure.

Thanks for the suggestion, I already tried that though, and the stuff I need came up as incomprehensible.
