Exclamation

Perhaps this is commonly known, but maybe not...

Drop your Backup Module into your Visor. Wait until it recognizes it's existence. (you know, the screen flash)

Hit the menu option of the launcher, or use the shortcuts for Delete, Beam, and Info.

On Delete and Info, you'll notice a drop down box to the left of the bar graph that lets you select "internal" or "card". You can't delete from the card, though.

On Beam, you'll see a box next to the data on the card.

Neato. *twirls finger*

Cool

AndrewB,

This appears to be a standard OS feature when you have a Springboard module installed. I have tried it on the Backup Module, the 8MB Flash Module, and the Eyemodule. I also have the Handspring Modem and the TaleLight (stupid TaleLight), but I don't carry them with me so I couldn't test them at the moment. What I don't know is if this is a Handspring modification or if it is part of the Palm OS memory card standard. Either way I agree its Neato.

It appears to be a Handspring modification. If I look at a IIIx running Palm OS v3.1, the memory bar on the Delete and Info dialog boxes it is almost full length of the dialog box. But on the Visor, without a springboard installed, it is about half the width. Thus making room for the pull down.

Hi Folks:

Another neato thing. With the Backup Module in do a show info, where it shows Free Memory, and select card it shows (or at least mine shows) FreeMemory 12K of 63K with Backup Listed as 52K.

Now that raises the question is that just showing the backup application storage area on the module and the space the backup application takes up (which is what I think), or is that the actual backup under some sort of compression .

Just another neato thing.

Hey AndrewB, here's another "neato" pulldown: In "Documents To Go", when you select "Add Item" from the menu, you can choose either 'Internal' or 'HsFlashModule'. Looks like the company, DataViz, wrote their software with the Visor in mind.
