Question

Something is terribly wrong with my visor. I had not used my visor for about one week. I turned it on and played a game ("Euchre") for about half an hour. I turned the visor off and put it a way. A few minutes later I tried turning on the visor and had trouble getting the power on. Eventually it turned on and I noticed that the battery life was very low. Soon the visor shut off and I could not turn it on any more. I replace the batteries and unfortunately everything was lost. However, it seemed to be fine. I ran a hotsynce to restore everything and that worked without any problems. Now, less than a day later, the batteries are totally empty and all I did with my visor was the one hotsync to restore everything. Therefore, something, possibly a virus is eating the batteries up.

Has anyone experienced this?

FYI, I turned off beam receive and I made sure that the backlight was not on.

Red face

I just posted the "Sad story" in this same discussion, and the battery drain problem was evident in three of the five replacements that I got from Handspring. Indeed there must be a problem there somewhere - I sure hope you get to the bottom of it, as I was unable to do.

Good Luck!!

wlanders:

It seems that your unit has gone bad (that happened to mine before, too). You might try another set of batteries (different brand and batch) becauses sometimes the whole batch of batteries might just be faulty.
However, if the problem persists, I guess you have to call CS and get your unit exchanged.

Good luck!
