Question

Hi -- I got a Stowaway almost two weeks ago, and I've been finding that it doesn't always work as soon as I put my GVD into it.

I've installed the "Keyboard" app into my visor, and I've made sure that the app is enabled.

To make it work, I need to go into the Keyboard app, and un-check and re-check the "Enable Stowaway" checkbox.

Also, I've noticed that sometimes, after using the Stowaway, I am unable to use caps or punctuation shift on my Visor. When I do an upstroke or a dot, the "up arrow" or the "dot" appear for a split second, and then disappears.

Again, I can "fix" this by going into the Keyboard app and un-checking (and re-checking) the "Enable Stowaway" checkbox.

Has anyone else experienced this, and/or know what's causing it and/or what I can do so this doesn't happen?

Thanks!

Lightbulb

there are a couple of threads addressing these issues floating out there somewhere. to sum up the findings:

nothing to be done. it happens sometimes but not all the time, to some users but not all the users. the general consensus seems to be to disable the driver until you need to use the keyboard, when you enable it, and then disable it when you're done. a bit of a pain, but not too much of one to dissuade me from using mine.

(i'm afflicted with noshiftpunctuitis, too.)

i have the 'shortshiftpunctuitis' aswell. I have to disable the keyboard whenever i'm not using it...

On the other problem...i find that after enabling the keyboard, turn off your visor and then turn it back on before mounting it to the stowaway and it should work everytime.
