I think you are correct on this point. It really does look like Handspring is striving for better turnaround times.
I have to say one thing about Handspring, with it being Christmas and having the potential to get alot of orders, Handspring stuck hard to keeping a 4 to 6 week turn around and they were honest enough the say if you didnt order by November 12 you may not have it by Dec 24th. Even though they are now running about 3 to 4 weeks. This must have cost them many orders.
I beleive one of Handsprings largest problems, (and I do mean one) was the third party outsource they hired for handling order taking and cuctomer service.
