Irregardless of the utility between an 8 meg card and 16, or of the general superioity of the Memplug or CF adapter, does anyone know of any differences between Handspring's 8 meg module and Hagiwara's?

Other than the obvious 8MB difference for the 16MB card, Hagiwara probably uses their own licensed version of FileMover. The features are the same as the Handspring version. From what I hear, the speed and functionality is the same; the only difference is the extra capacity for the 16MB Hagiwara card. Other than that, the 8MB Hagiwara is about $5 cheaper and the Hagiwara 16MB is about $60 more than Handspring's 8MB card.

On a closely related issue, I personally like Handspring's Backup Module. I wish Hagiwara came out with a 16MB version for those of us who upgraded our Prisms (and Platinums) to 16MB. I guess it would be the same card, but with the Backup application instead of FileMover. Also, like the price difference between Handspring's Flash and Backup Modules, I wish that Hagiwara's Backup Module is half the price as their Flash.
