Newbie question concerning the visorphone: Sim cards

I think I know what sim cards are, they're a small card that has a chip in it that store some data about the phone, but does the visorphone have such a slot for that card?
Cause I found a provider in Canada that would provide service for the visorphone, but it is required to have a SIM card slot so that I suppose they could issue a SIM card.

Anyone can elaborate?

Being a GSM phone, it must have a SIM slot.
And in fact it has :-)

The sim card is behind the battery. Remove the battery from the Visor Phone and you'll see a tiny white rectangle, just slide it out.
