Visor Is ads

Just saw the Visor ad in the LA Times E section back page. It is a 3/4 page with 4 allmost fullsize color Visors. One has an Eyemodule, one AvantGo, one appointments and one the SoundsGood module. Interesting last choice. Talk amongst yourselves.

I think there are only a few tech-hardware companies that are really doing well with their overal branding/marketing. The ones that I think stand out are Apple, IBM and Sony.

They all really know how to put some emotional value into their product's advertising image. I don't think Palm nor Handspring are really doing that. I think once Sony's PDA come out, they'll raise the bar on advertising campaigns for PDAs.

Sunday's New York Times had a full page version of that ad, I think on the back page of Sports.

In the Arizona Republic, there was an amazon.com insert that prominately showed the Visor & accessories .. The front page, top box has a blue visor deluxe, in the inside there is the regular visor, eyemodule, innogear minijam, cue radio springboard and stowaway... While the ad is geared toward the Amazon.com electronics section, it is neat to see the focus on the Visor..

In this month's issue of "Runner's World" magazine, there is a full-page ad featuring an orange Visor showing a daily appointment screen with some sample appointments entered in. The tag line reads "VISOR (is)... having a nice day."

My wife thought I was a geek for sitting there and staring at the ad for two or three minutes. (She was right.)

We don't think you're a geek!

Why don't you try hanging the page on the refrigerator and she what she says to that?

Talking hi Mark

I think we should all throw a small party when MarkEagle hits around 1,000 posts in these boards.

Heck, when it happens we could even start a thread on MarkEagle's landmark post.

It looks like he is rapidly getting close.

Just a thought, take it or leave it.
