Question

I have a small network in my house, I have read the docs on network syncing but have not been able to get it right. I have been able to somewhat get it but was woundering if someone could give me a step by step.

Thanks

You are probably not going to be able to get it working b/c the network hotsync requires an IP address. The IP address is like a computer's location on a network, but on smaller networks, like mine at home, there is no IP address assigned, rather each computer has a name (ie Upstairs, Office, etc). But of course I could be wrong, or maybe there is some sort of hack available for such things.

I have a IP address on both because I use Nat.So I have a Nic on the upstairs computer (10.1.1.254) and a IP on the downstairs computer (10.1.1.1). I have been able to make the hotsync work once in the wrong direction but I am not sure how I did it.

If some one knows I would appreciate any help
