merging two user names....

My deluxe finally kicked it. I had bought an edge for my wife a while back and she only uses it sporadically for the basic stuff -- schedule, address book, some lists -- and offered to share hers with me (we rarely used them concurrently).

How do I go about merging the data of our two user names? Mostly overlapping schedule and addressbook info. although there are some todos and memos as well that I'd need to transfer.

right now it's set to her user name, but I'd like to switch it to mine, but with her data merged into mine.

switching names is easy enough, but...

thanks,
bagelche

The palm desktop has an 'export' command under the File menu. Export your wife's addressbook, to dos, memos, etc. Then import them into your palm desktop. Make sure the import was successful. Wipe the memory in the Visor, then sync and select your hotsync name. The new, combined data will sync and you'll have both your data under one name. Then you both simply work from your desktop in the future.

Of course. always back up BOTH your data directories before doing any of this. Just in case.

Thanks much... that seemed to do the trick quite well.

Unfortunately since our schedules were pretty overlapping (we kept track of each other as well as holidays), there's lots of repeats... now I just have to find a way to delete redundancies... here we go...
