Hard Reset

I apparently got my Visor too close to the computer or the phone, and the screen scrambled. I wasn't able to do a soft reset. I tried doing a hard reset. The splash screen came up and then preferences, but I couldn't get beyond that. I tried a hard reset again. This time the splash screen came up but the preferences didn't. After a time, the splash screen went off, and I am not able to get anything. Does anyone know if I have other options or am I totally fried?

I have most of my information backed up. If I get another Visor/Palm, will I be able to retrieve it, even if it's not exactly the same model?

yes if you get another pda when u do the initial hotsync choose the name of your old palpilot from the menu and it will all back up onto the new one

try removing the bateries and letting it sit awhile without em and try it again see what happens

this happened to me with my visor edge a while ago and i opened it up disconnected everything and reconnnected everything and it worked so if ur willing and carefull enough to open it give it a try
