IS 137K enough?

Hi gang,

I've recently installed a new program that has caused my memory reserves to go from about 400K to 137K. Even when I was at 400K, WordSmith always asked me whether I wanted to save documents for fear of losing them due to low system memory.

Is it safe to operate with only 137K assuming I save all of my documents? (they are usually only about 10K anyway). I'm worried because I'm not sure how the memory works... a program uses more memory while in use than it does in storage right?

And what if my AvantGo downloads all of a sudden exceed my memory resources? (i.e. the downloads claim to have a minimum and maximum channel size). will any of these things crash my Visor to the point where I can't start it again or make it run really slow or something like that?

Thanks,

2MB

well, if you try to install a prc that wont fit, you will often crash. but probably not a hard reset. 137k is probably fine, but I never used avantgo untill i got an 8meg vdx. 2megs is too small for avantgo AND another big varaiable-memory program like wordsmith.
