Is it possible to use the Backup module to transfer my current data/apps from my VDX to a Prism? Or can I sync it using the same user name as my VDX.

I had this same thought when I first upgraded to a Prism from a PalmIII. (Well, minus the backup module, but you get the idea.) You can very easily upload all of your information simply by syncing to your PC - just change the Hotsync conduit settings to "PC overrides Handheld" (or the like), or it won't work correctly. BUT-and there's always a but-I would suggest that you remove all applications and system patches from your Install Backup folder before you sync - this will prevent problems with the inital sync, and will also protect you from older applications that don't necessarily work with PalmOS 3.5 from forcing a reset. Once you've successfully synced all your data, then you can go back and move your applications in.

I wouldn't suggest using the backup module for this, as the backup module would contain whatever system patches you may have installed on the VDX. These patches aren't used by Prism, and may cause problems with PalmOS 3.5. I think.
