Disappearing addresses on Platinum. Yikes!

Addresses in my Platinum address book seem to disappear at random. Just every now and then, an address I know I had is suddenly missing. Names and phone numbers remain intact. In some cases, the address is present on the Visor, but not on the desktop. More recently an address has disappeared from both locations. I've checked to make sure I don't have "private" function turned on. I sync my Visor at home and at work, but never get messages indicating that addresses aren't syncing. I'm using macs in both locations. USB connection at work, serial port at home. I've tried checking different views, I've made sure my conduit settings are set to sync...I entered all the addresses manually...I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but this one has me baffled. Any ideas out there?

You did not mention what you are using as your desktop. Palm Desktop, MS Outlook, other?

Nothing unusual on the desktop. Just the Palm desktop...not trying to connect to Outlook or any other program.
