sprint pcs digital link

HELP!!! i just received a sprint pcs web digital link--the springboard that promises to change your visor handheld into a phone and web surfing machine....well i can make calls and receive them but i am having the hardest time with the following:
1) getting the "dial" option to show within my visor's address book. i can only dial a phone number using the dial pad, i can't dial from within my organizer, which defeats the purpose of having this springboard module
2) what is up with the sms messaging--do we have that option or not
3) i downloaded eudora--was that smart (any advice is greatly appreciated)

just looking for some "technical support" seeing as sprint has to dig out a module from the closet in order to help, and then i am told do a hard reset and maybe that will work and handspring won't return an email and charges for any phone assistance. HELP!! can anyone help me?
