Question

I need to know in plain english how well a thinmodem will do giving me internet access similar to what my desktop pc will do. Specifically, will I be able to view all or most web sites? How does it compare to pocket internet explorer on, say the ipaq? What I want to do is repace my laptop with a pda and a stowaway and I want the best internet access I can get. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, PDA web surfing is not the same as from the desktop. While many of the available browsers do a good job, there just isn't an equal to IE or Netscape on the handheld... yet. One of the biggest drawbacks is screen size/resolution. A 160x160 LCD isn't quite ready for the net. For occasional surfing and email retrieval, the Visor/Thinmodem does and adequate job.
