VisorCentral meet Treo
Oh no. Identity crisis. The name of this site is "visor"central, but the new Handspring product, Treo, is not visor. What's going to happen now?

Well you know
On the day that the treo was rumered, we bought www.treocentral.com - how we will work the two sites together or whatever we don't know...

was it confirmed with HS by VC before there was an official announcement? If every rumored name was registered, you could have quite a few.

rumered == FCC filings. We knew it was real (whyt would HS file something with the FCC) so that's why we bought it.

Call me a cynic - but if I were you guys:
1. I'd delete this thread - there've only been a few posts - 147 viewings.
2. NEVER talk about how or why you bought a website name and leave it at that.
Look into the future - and the day will come when you're racing against other patrons of your own board to snatch up a good domain name - and maybe forced into paying extra fees to snatch it back from them.
I worked for a company that was undergoing an identity change - and we kept the new name down to a Small group - while the lawyers were running around buying up domain names, 800 numbers, registering it around the world... It was a lot of work! And a lot of money!
