Hi there,
Has anyone had any problems syncing Outlook 2000 email onto their Visor (or palm)?
I'd ideally like a way of syncing the last 50-100 messages over to the Visor (not my whole inbox). At the moment when I synch any outgoing mail gets sent from the Visor but then (after about 30-40 minutes of activity) hotsync manager crashes and I have to end the task.

Oh yes, it's an Exchange server based mailbox as well (I don't know if that makes any difference)

I'm using that same set-up now with no problems. Is there any additional hardware between your PC and the exchange server (firewalls, gateways, etc.)? I screwed something up in my setup and it didn't work but I did it over and it works fine now. You may want to try setting it up again. This might be dumb to ask but you did select exchage server during setup correct?

Hope this helps,

Slimwear,
No additional hardware between my desktop and the exchange server. I've tried reinstalling a few times, and I did set it up for an exchange server.
Have you got many messages in your inbox ? rouchly how long does it take to synch ?

Cheers,

Talking

What I suggest is that you create a sub-folder in your inbox where you can store messages that you do not want to be transfered onto the Visor. A reason for the crash may be if you have any attachments or pictures with any of the emails. Another thing that I suggest is that you briefly go over your email before you sync it. If you still have a problem the people who make Pocketmirror, the software that allows a sync with Outlook, have a patch on their web site for several misc problems....
www.chapura.com/downloads.html
the patch is 2.0.4b

Thanks for all of your help,
but ideally I'd like to have a folder in outlook which I can use to transfer specific filtered emails over to the visor, rather than having to keep my inbox clear of attachments or large messages.
I suppose some form of enhanced control over Pocketmirror would bit the bill perfectly.
If I find a solution I'll post it here.
