I purchased the 64 meg Graphite Minijam for my Visor Prism. Everything works very well until I try and install another 64 meg card in Slot B. While the system formats the card "correctly" (at least it shows the right amount of space after format), songs either won't upload or are estimated to take a very long, long time to complete (estimates on Miniloader are like 17 hours!)Additionally,I get a number of crashes both on my PC and Visor and also get some Visual C ++ error messages.

When I remove the 64 meg card, everything works normally. Also when I put a 32 meg card in Slot B, the system again works normally.

A little background: previous to the Minijam I had purchased a Compaq IPAQ Mp3 player. This unit shipped with two 32 meg cards. I upgraded to two 64 meg cards. All 4 cards (made by Sandisk) work perfectly on the IPAQ.

Anyone have any ideas why the two 32 meg MMC Cards would work perfectly on both the Ipaq and the Minijam but the two 64 meg cards would give me the problems I mentioned earlier when I attempt to use them in the Minijam?

Sorry for the long winded post but I'm really perplexed (as is Sandisk and Innogear!)

Thanks...emails ([email protected]) or posts would be appreciated.

If it makes you feel any better I just encountered the exact same problem. Got the original 64 MB MMC to work fine, ordered and additional card, formatted correctly but it won't take any uploads without crashing or taking to long.

Haven't gotten a response from Innogear but your post doesn't leave any hope they know what's going on.

Was I to understand that the 64 MB MMC card you attempted to use worked correctly in the IPAQ?

I got mine working. The answer to your question is YES..the 64 meg card worked on my Ipaq.

What I did for the Minijam was to remove all cards. I then put my Ipaq 64 meg card in the top slot and started copying..everything normal. I then put the 2nd 64 meg card in the bottom slot...started copying...same success.

I don't know why I had to remove the original card to copy successfully but that's what I did.

Haven't tried putting both Ipaq 64s in at once to see if they worked together but will try that later.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me.

Good luck.

Arrow

Also make sure you have the latest MiniJam update from InnoGear. I believe one of them fixed some issues with MMCs.

64 Meg Upgrade

Yea James..that's the first thing I did. Unfortunately, the Upgrade did nothing for this problem.
