Lightbulb

The new light seems really cool, but has anyone beta tested it? Do you think it could easily be used with the Stowaway without major battery drain? Is it similar to the worm light for Gameboy?

I don't understand why they didn't allow you to stuff a couple of AAA's in it, so that it could run from it's own power source. That way you would'nt have to worry about drain on the unit itself. It would also be nice if it had a directional hood, so it would not shine on anyone else during a seminar or maybe a sleeping wife! Think itty bitty book lights with hoods on their lights.

I think that $20 sounds a little steep for what the unit offers. The little book lights at Borders are only $7, and I think that one could figure out a way to clip that onto your Visor. Plus the book light would have it's own power source, four AA's. However, that would add serveral ounces to the unit, but that's might be the economy pda light.

One more point. You won't be able to use any expansion modules with the light module. You could use a module with a book light. Just a thought.

Don't compare the Booklight with the PDAlight. the PDA light uses an LED, wherethebooklight uses a different type of light. LED's take only 20 mA which is like nothing. (seriously!) The price is a bit steep, but the module housign is like 2 bucks, and than the LED is a buck so I guess .. oh.. it should only be $9.99. oh well my point was proven wrong!
